CPESN Pharmacies Boost Vaccines for Dialysis Patients

Two CPESN pharmacies - Panama Pharmacy in Jacksonville, FL, and Living Well Pharmacy in Augusta, GA - held vaccine clinics at dialysis clinics as part of a pilot program with the American Society of Nephrology. The goal: to learn if community pharmacist engagement can increase access to Shingles, RSV, and COVID-19 immunizations for patients with chronic kidney disease. While the pilot was limited with 151 participants, ANS reports: "The increase in up-to-date patients through pharmacy administration is profound." CPESN® Michigan's First Statewide Payer Program

CPESN Michigan pharmacies have their first statewide payer opportunity with UnitedHealthcare's Pharmacy Care Hub. The program for enrolled Medicaid and dual eligible members includes medication management, counseling, and other services pharmacies may already be providing. And participating pharmacies may provide point-of-care testing, coordinate a telehealth doctor visit, and fill any resulting prescriptions - for a seamless patient experience, all within the pharmacy.

CPESN Iowa Lung Cancer Screening Program
